Dear Sirs,
Re: Nomination Nobel Prize in Literature
I would like to nominate Germain Droogenbroodt for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Since several years, I have a close contact with this excellent universal poet and promoter of modern international poetry. He therefore was granted in 2015 the Grand Prix Mihai Eminescu as a poet and the Medal Mihai Emenescu for his indefatigable promotion of modern international poetry as a translator and publisher, mainly of poetry by poets which never had a chance to have their poetry translated and published.
Droogenbroodt wrote 12 collections of poetry. His earlier work might be categorized as neo romantic, which changed drastically since the publication of The Road, a series of 30 humanistic, philosophical poems, a poetic voyage from the past to the future, from the West to the East, published in various countries, including in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Mongolia, Lebanon….
Starting with references to the Greek mythology as the past, questioning the present “How long still will last your eternity, planet!” this universal poet invites the readers to less materialism, to more respect for nature, to more lucidity, melding Western philosophies with Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism to reach more understanding, more humanity.
This philosophical concern about human beings whatever their race or culture or religion is, marks the originality and the universality of Germain Droogenbroodt’s poetry which continues in his poetry collections published after The Road. The titles speak for themselves: Counterlight, the light that does not blind but enlightens, In the Stream of Time, Meditations in the Himalayas, Unshadowed Light, Dewdrops of Dawn and his latest book “The Ephemeral Flower of Time”. He also wrote a number of haiku, published in Japan, poems which also the Japanese entitle as being Eastern, Japanese.
In these times, where the world is threatened by terrorism and short-sighted nationalism, universal, humanistic poetry like the verses of this cosmopolite poet deserve being spread. The Nobel Prize in Literature can do it. I therefore wish to nominate Germain Droogenbroodt for the prestigious prize.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ion Deaconescu
President Academie Internationale ''Mihai Eminescu''.

Señores
COMITÉ ACADEMIA PREMIO NOBEL DE LITERATURA
Estocolmo

a poetas y filósofos orientales (Lao Tzu, Chuang, Tzu, Li Po o Wang Wei),
poetas occidentales (Celan, Hé:ilderlin, Petrarca, Valente ... ) o sufíes como Rumi,
etc.
